As the largest municipal water utility in North America with nearly 6,000 employees system-wide the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) operates and maintains a world class water supply system to deliver more than 1.1 billion gallons a day of the highest quality drinking water to the residents of NYC and some Upstate NY counties. NYCDEP also has a wastewater conveyance and treatment system capable of processing over 1.3 billion gallons of wastewater a day to protect the environment of NYC's surrounding waterways. With one of the largest construction budgets in the region - $11 billion of work is currently under construction and another $3 billion is in the design stages - NYCDEP offers many great opportunities for you to get started on the next great American infrastructure.
